The Strength of Inside Silence in a Dumb World(part two)

Self-awareness and Inner Silence.

Increased self awareness is among the most enormous advantages of inner silence. Once the mind calms down we start to notice our thoughts and feelings, rather than just automatically responding to them. This brings a gap between the observer and the observed. We become aware of the fact that we are not thinking; we are the consciousness that observes them.

It is a revelation of great freedom. It enables us to challenge the common ways of thinking and acting. We are more aware of what and why we are motivated, feared, and desired. We are no longer influenced by our unconscious impulses, but can adopt the capacity to make a choice of how we react to situations.

The inner silence also brings out other values and intuitions. The subsistence of the external noise makes the inner voice sharper. It is not a high-tone voice, or a voice of command; but a low voice, articulated, through the sense of resonance, clarity, and harmony. It takes time and concentration to listen to, however, it will result in more genuine decisions and purpose.

Healing a Heart of Silence.

Silence is very therapeutic to feelings. Numerous emotional traumas exist due to avoiding them. We take our minds off rather than confront pain. Inner silence provides a secure environment where feelings do not face criticism. Here emotions can be felt, known and given out.

When we sit quietly, we tend to bring into light the emotions that we have suppressed. This is not particularly pleasant initially, but it is an aspect of healing that one must undergo. By not resisting to observe emotions, we do not develop them into the habitual psychological pangs. The lesson of silence is that we should not make our emotions permanent, but perishable.

Also, inner silence leads to compassion, compassion to oneself and compassion to others. When judgment is lowered empathy grows. We are less defensive and more receptive and open. This emotional equilibrium enhances interrelationship and lessens conflict even in an external environment where there is noise.

Silence as a Source of Power.

Silence is not weakness as most people would think. Actually, it is a great reservoir of power. An individual who is grounded in inner silence is not influenced so much by the external commotion. When the sense of self is more internal, then criticism, pressure and uncertainty do not hold any power.

Silence within makes one stronger. There will be difficulties, defeat and transition in life. Noise enhances suffering with mental opposition and fear. When we are silent, we can clearly and acceptably face challenges. This will not kill people but will avoid unnecessary suffering.

Power of silence has been known by leaders, thinkers and artists since ancient times. Most of them consciously aimed to be isolated and be in silent contemplation. Their power was not in their incessant activity, but in their profound interior quiescence which gave directions to those actions.

Imagination and Genius in the Unspoken.

The best creativity is achieved in silence. Most of the best ideas are not created through coercive thought, but during times of silence. The mind becomes more open when it gets relaxed. Relationships are built automatically, knowledge is natural and imagination works freely.

Silence within helps us to get out of the rut of thinking. It provides a portal to intuition, which is a type of knowing that is not grounded on logic only. This comes in especially handy in more complicated scenarios when analytical thinking is at its wit while trying to think through the situation.

Silence can appear unproductive in a world that is filled with noise and productivity and speed. Nevertheless, it can be also the most effective way to originality and wisdom. Good things can be built by silence and silence builds depth, which brings success in the form of long-term contribution.

Pure light and infinite love be with us!
